Spicy Mongolian Beef

Sticky, sweet, and spicy with crisp edges, this takeout style favorite is upgraded with a bold kick from Yummahh’s Chili Oil.

Time Needed: 25 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • 300g flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Yummahh’s Chili Oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Beef: Toss beef slices with cornstarch and set aside.
  2. Sear the Beef: In a hot pan with oil, fry beef until crispy and browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce: In the same pan, sauté garlic, then add soy sauce, brown sugar, and Yummahh’s Chili Oil.
  4. Combine: Return beef to the pan, coat with sauce, and cook for 1-2 more minutes.
  5. Serve: Garnish with green onions and serve with steamed rice.

Pro Tip:
Slice beef very thinly against the grain for tenderness.
